I just dot this last week. Got it from a seller in England. From the cruiser HMAS Australia II it served through out WW2 and was the first ship to get hit by kamikaze in WW2 one attack killed the captain a sad tell. Hope I did good. Has a anchor with 1942 stamped on the case. Has an Elliott movement used by the British military in their clocks before and during WW2 and after. Have sent photos to the Australian Navy Museum for info to see if it's what it seems.

That Anchor 1942 mark think it's a mark the Navy once used and not many collectors pay attention to it. I have another issued item from WW1 I got with a WW1 grouping from a British Army veteran who was in a motorboat section at Gullapalli. In his stuff was a button stick and shoehorn the shoehorn had an anchor mark think it was an issued item and being around boats working alongside the Navy got it from them.
