Nah, interesting photo though, caption states Spring 1941 on a train, but this vehicle was not yet issued out yet then, later date probably not sure where the two Sailors come in.

Referring to the online tank museum (tanks-encyclopedia.com) the production of these R35 variant began in february/march 1941 "...with some 30 vehicles per month..." So the caption could be right. I think these two sailors took the chance for a cool photo and occupied this R35 temporary or maybe they were part of some naval support unit preparing the vehicle for shipping? Very nice photo!

Lars was this vehicle used in Africa?
