December 16, 20232 yr #2 Great idea shemp! At least show your favorite. Here is mine. A Weimar Republic time period leather Feuerwehr (FW) helmet. This is a typical FW helmet with a neat generic Wappen with crossed axes on the front. It is in nice condition and is complete with chinstrap and maker name inside.

December 25, 20232 yr #11 First picture is a lot of helmets that were pulled out of a trash pile. The other one came out of an estate sale down the street from me. Still trying to seal the deal on one more. Not sure I can get it under the wire for 2023. Best ABN
December 25, 20232 yr #12 I didn't do to bad this year. Picked up the Repaint early in the year. Named, nicely painted around the Adler, no strap though. M40 1942 Sachsishe Emaillerwerke Lauter size 64. M17, ET64, I know, it had no rivets up front for some reason, so I made due until I find 2 the correct color 🙄. Eastern Irish emergency issue helmet & a British Brodie, painted brown for the 6th Army, from what I'm told that was quite common. Merry Christmas to all!
December 26, 20232 yr #13 Wow! No wonder I came up empty this year. You guys grabbed everything out there! Well done folks! Good hunting in 2024. Mikie
December 31, 20232 yr Author #17 Back at you T Bird and to everyone else ! Bill C'mon guys we have one day left, keep em coming !

The M35 reissue has the wrong size liner. That's probably the reason why the front two pins were missing. Best regards. Jim

Jim Jim, it is the M17 that has the missing pins, not the M35. The M35 liner is smaller then the helmet, but I've not seen a size 53 helmet. Thanks
January 20, 20242 yr #21 It’s a nice lid but a size 53 liner should be in a size 60 shell. Here’s an EF60 shell with a size 53 liner. Best regards. Jim
January 29, 20242 yr #22 Sorry if it’s only supposed to be German but I picked up this Japanese Trophy helmet from the USS St Louis.

February 25, 20251 yr #25 Thanks to some great insight by fellow forum members Rakkasan187 and Marshallj, I was able to acquire these three bring back pieces of German headgear from a veteran's son.
