January 3, 20242 yr #1 I've had this for a while now. Got it from the Vets son. He was a very early advisor, was there eary 60s. Flag was in use from 1955-1972. It reads - Circle: Phong Trào Cách Mạng Quốc Gia The National Revolutionary Movement). Center: Chi Bộ Kiến Trúc - Huế. Cell (or Section) of Architecture School, (University of) Hue. Under Diem Regime (1955-1963) The National Revolutionary Movement was one of the most important organizations to support the regime. The others were: (1) "Đảng Cần Lao" Labor Party, (2) "Phong Trào Phụ Nữ Liên Đới" Women Solidarity Movement led by Madam Nhu; (3) "Đoàn Thanh Niên Cộng Hoà" Republic Youth Group. Remember, at the same time, there was also the Đảng Lao Động (Labor Party in North Vietnam which Ho Chi Minh disguised his Communist identity under the name "Dang Lao Động" (also Labor Party). The Đảng Lao Động was renamed Đảng Cộng Sản (Communist Party) after the 4th Party Congres in 1976 when Vietnam was reunited. Ho Chi Minh founded the Communist Party in 1930 and changed its name to the Labor Party in 1952 (the 2nd Party Congress) to cheat the Vietnamese patriots and gain support from the Western nations.

January 9, 20242 yr #5 Very nice flag, especially with the stamp spelling out what this is. These are often mistaken for communist flags, even by US soldiers during the war so it is very cool to have the property stamp saying exactly what it is. On that note this ended up in the wrong section of the forum, it should be under South Vietnam.
