I found this photo in a pile of US Navy photos at a flea market. Maby it’s an uncut photo for his ID documents? It’s dated a month before he was captured by U.S. forces. An ID photo for sure IMHO.  Interesting that he was wearing a Luftwaffe coat at the time of his capture.
