Found this Sports Badge in a case of women's broaches. It doesn't have the swaz, so I am curious if it is pre or post war. I believe it to be pre.

 

Markings on the back: 

On one side:  H. WERNSTLIN , JENA - LOBSTEDT

On the other side:  D.R.G.M.33918

I think your badge is pre-1945 since it has a "DRGM" number on the back.  These markings are not seen on the postwar badges.  

 

 

Great thread! Appreciate the info. I haven't collected German in years and it is always fun to find an original piece. When I saw it mixed in with a tray of women's jewelry & broaches, I knew what it was and with a fairly cheap price tag on it, I knew it was a no brainer to snag it.  

“DRA” (Deutscher Reichs-Ausschuss) introduced in 1921 thru 1933….and changed to “DRL” in 1933-37 and then in Sept 1937 Nazi symbol added
