I have a guy offering this sword in trade for a katana, I wanna know if this sword is original and what this sword dates to/what's it worth? Accordioning to him it's a French sword from the Napoleonic era.

Very likely a French Epee A l’Anglaise in use between 1800 - 1805. It is a court sword.

one was sold via a sword FB group for 600 Euros. Apparently marked down.

Unable to confirm the swords authenticity.

A fair trade also depends upon your katana value.  

Despite the opinion I sought I think it highly recommended to contact a professional in this field before purchasing the sword. Facebook has a number of groups that maybe worth consulting.

the katana isn't worth much its literally missing everting, it's just the blade with a tang, the blade is in pretty bad shape too, I did the trade worse comes to worse it's a reproduction. 

Turns out I actually got a better deal then I thought. Photos of this sword was sent to a Facebook French sword collecting group. The sword dates to either the late 1700s to the early 1800s. They stoped making this sword in 1805. They started making this sword sometime around the 1780s (I can't remember the year on the top of my head). The group believes my sword dates to the late 1700s. Although there is no way to actually prove that it could date to 1805 for all we know. The brass guard was hand fitted and hand made you can see the tool markings on the inside. So yes I definitely got the better end of the deal.
