Here are some examples of hats worn from WW2 to modern day. The Hat-KFF as it was officially named ( full name = Hat Khaki Fur Felt). World War Two Felt hat known as a Lemon Squeezer. Originally NZ would wear a slouch hat but in 1917 they changed to the hat peaked for all of 1 NewZealand Expeditionary Force in France, the slouch hat was still worn by Mounted Rifles(Dragoons).
