    You may have this already but if not I've attached the War Office Campaign Medal and Award Roll (General Series) Kings South Africa Cavalry listing James' medal.

     

    Found at the National Archives https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C3764069

     

    Have also sent over James' service papers by pm.
