May 18, 20242 yr #2 Douglas Bader was shot down on 9th August 1941, some say by friendly fire, and can be seen in this photograph with German fighter ace Adolf Galland and other Luftwaffe officers. The second photograph depicts Bader and Galland as friends after the war.
