Just picked this up from the vets son. Carried by Lt. William Wolfe during the landings at Anzio. The knife was originally issued to the vets father tail end of WWI as I’m told. William engraved his name on his father’s knife. Not sure what outfit he served with I’m waiting on photos to be emailed so check back. Another neat thing is that he played drum on occasions for big names such at Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller. One of these knives has been on the bucket list for years, it’s been sharpened and no scabbard but can’t have everything. Let me know what you think!
