These photos are from the earliest roll of film I have from the batch of negatives I acquired a couple of years ago. I believe they were taken in 1940.  They show a group of older men in civilian clothes forming up to be transported to a Luftwaffe "boot camp" or ??   Subsequent rolls of film show them in Luftwaffe uniform doing some marching but mostly training with anti aircraft machine guns at a coastal training center somewhere.  They appear to be older recruits and the physical training doesn't seem to be that rigorous. How did it work back then?  Could older men join and not be required to go through a full blown boot camp?

Here are some photos taken at same time.  The lighthouse is in the background of many of the photos. Anyone recognize it?  The photo of the group of soldiers (on boot leave?) was probably taken in a town close by.  Can't make out what the sign says.  May help to locate where the training took place.  

I assume that the pictures were taken during basic and air defence training in Schlesig-Holstein, the most northern German state. The lighthouse depicted on the top right of your last post could very well be the "Neuland" lighthouse located near the training area "Putlos" where among others air defence units were trained during the war (until today). I still have to find the train station.

It seems early war as they all wear the 1st Pattern Flieger Bluse, So Could they be Reservists that have been mobilized in like 1939?  Did the Luftwaffe have a Reserve like the Heer?

Any hope of matching this list of names to the Luftwaffe soldiers in the picture taken at the training center in Schlesig-Holstein in 1940?  Especially interested in the 3rd guy from the left as I'm almost sure that he is the photographer of my group of film negatives.  Only hint I have is he may be from Bremen and ended up in a Panzer School unit around 1943.
