I have an Imperial Rgimental stein I was wondering if anyone could verify if it’s real or a fake. And if it’s real what is its appropriate value?  I know they have made many reproductions after WW2 until now. Any help would be much appreciated.

Many details should be painted by hand and fired into the glaze.

By the looks of it it’s all decal.

I believe the stein is ceramic and scene on the stein is not completely smooth. It has some texture to it.  Also the pewter lid is made as one piece not 2 or more pieces put together.  The lithophane bottom shows the bust of a military officer maybe royalty in uniform? From what I info I can find, many fakes have illicit scenes of soldiers with women or nude women.  

I also tried doing research on the maker Kuhr. It seems it’s been making steins since the early 1800s and still in business today. Handarbiet means hand made in German. That’s all the info I can find.

I don´t know if this Stein is a real or a fake one. When seeing the lithophane bottom my first thought was that it shows 19th century Bavarian king Ludwig II.

I know this is actually impossible for a Saxon stein. But please search the net for "Koenig Ludwig II Bierkrug lithophanie" and you will find several similar ones.

Once again, I have no clue if this is a vintage stein or not.

It is a  Bavarian King Ludwig ll lithophane.  Thank you for pointing this out. You’re right. No reason for a Bavarian king to be on a Saxony regt. stein. Thank you for your help.
