Got lucky and happened to be at the antique shop today as one of the vendors was restocking. He had just put this in the case. He told me it was a bringback by a family member and was played with by the vets kids. He cut me a deal and the sword came home with me. Its tip has been poorly sharpened and no scabbard but I payed less than $60 for it. Neat little wall hanger.IMG_8185.jpeg.98683337f2556fa8aec555bda12b9db1.jpeg

    Looks like a Nr. 1055 from the WKC catalog.  Listed as an Army-Officer-Sword with Wehrmacht eagle insignia.

    Thanks! It’s a custom WWI insignia banner my great grandfather bought while on occupation duty in Coblenz Germany 1918
