As I said this is an NSFK Motor Pilot badge.  My friend turned this up at a flea market in PA.  It looks and feels original.   The pin assembly and the construction of the badge all seem right for an original badge.  Any comments about the badge, maker originality vintage and value would be very much appreciated.

Unfortunately from what I've seen, Pleuger and Voss marked LW badges are generally considered fakes. I'm not an expert on these myself, just what I've come across over on WAF.

Pin and catch are all wrong. Hopefully your friend did not pay more that $25. A real one is $1500 or more.

Gentlemen, thank you for your responses.  I don’t know how much he paid for it, I steer clear of TR stuff for exactly those reasons.
