1935 NCO Infantry Waffenrock

This is the only WWII German uniform in my collection. I purchased it in 1970 at the Greensburg gun show in Greenburg PA. For a short time I thought I might focus on this type of uniform, but shifted to American uniforms not long after.

I do not know a whole lot about these uniforms, but it is very well made. I will let the photographs speak for themselves.

A fabulous Waffenrock! The golden star on the shoulder boards is hard to find these days, so you got a nice piece right there!

Very nice! I remember driving to that show from Pittsburgh when I was 16. The snow was blowing so hard I was really afraid I was going to wreck the car but just as quickly as it started it stopped.

Here are the right and left shoulder boards. There are small cuts in the fabric of the boards from the sharp points on on the stars.

Nice waffenrock….IAW policy…unit designation numbering (embroidered) and/or metal numbering were removed for security purposes….but again nice waffenrock.

Thanks for posting more pics! Like Edelweisse I think the "Regimentsnummern" were removed. I also think that the stars were added subsequently (Feldwebel rank insignia silver braid shoud enclose the shoulder boards completely). Once again, a very nice Waffenrock in excellent condition.

Beautiful uniform, I’d love to have one like that in my collection.
