I found this item (in of all places) in a rural flea market in the US and, while it is not in my usual collecting category, I just had to get it.  I believe that it is a souvenir patch for personnel who were stationed at this particular air base.  From the University of Google, the base was used to train Commonwealth pilots during WW2.
