What's the deal with this??? Tall narrow, not like anything we seen, amost like a 1840s example. Has almost a early Budenovka Cap quality about it LOL

I wonder if this guy lost his picklehaube and only had the cover so he stuffed it something and put it on hoping no one would notice.

By The Way. This one has to be  of either the 5th Bavarian Infantry Regiment or the 5th Engineer Battalion as the  Prussian 5th Regiment was a Grenadier Regiment, Grenadier-Regiment König Friedrich I. (4. Ostpreußisches) Nr. 5 , and as such would be wearing Litzen, which is lacking here.

Meant to add but just now had the time.  Looks like an Ersatz ("substitution") picklehaub.  General lines look similar but different and obviously way cheaper.
