Can you please help me on the following dagger? I know there are plenty of fakes/replicas out there. Anyone who can comment on the authenticity of this please?

 NPEA dagger, Scabbard is the proper style, but I'm not thrilled it. Looks too new but I'm not expert

I’m no expert either, but the handle does not seem to fit in the lower cross guard, and the upper cross guard looks unfinished.  May be a parts dagger, made up after the war, or perhaps put together from unrelated pieces who knows when.
