The seller says its RMZ  but i don't see any markings on it.  if it is fake i would still like it for displaying  what would be a fair price for a fake?

Fake. The biggest give away is the lip on the scabbard. And it says made in Germany. Fakes have no value. $25 is the highest I would pay for a German made fake. $0 for a Chinese fake. 

The scabbard should be made from pressed steel. The scabbard on this one is cast white metal which didn’t happen pre 1945.

Thanks for your help.  I might still might offer him a few bucks for it.  I cant afford a real one yet and it would still look good next to my other stuff. 

It looks like a knife that I first remember seeing in the 1980s. I think it’s German manufactured but not 100% sure.
