June 22, 20251 yr #2 No way to tell, really. King George VI ruled the United Kingdom, 1937-1952, and the both the RAF and RCAF wings from that period are basically the same "KC" (King's Crown) style. Certainly "Second World War Era". I've seen these wings with "padded reverses" and just plain embroidered with no re-inforcements on the reverse. They've also been copiously reproduced. I see stitch marks on the specimen in post #1, so I think they're not a reproduction. Likely an authentic, genuine period insignia once sewn on a uniform.
