Wasn’t this helmet just posted by another member? I believe it’s authenticity was decided there.

Further discussion of this helmet was locked in the US Forum due to no provenance to a soldier as a "Bring Back" Spoil of War.

The discussion can be continue here.

I will add that much better and clearer photos are needed to see any stamps in the rim to properly ID and assess the helmet

yes fanatic, it is mine. being cut off on u.s. militaria forum i put it here to get more comments. there are no stampings on the ear or neck guards, but there is a date on the liner band which appears to be 1942 0r 43. last number a bit hard to see. it is the wire i am concerned about.

Not a fan of the chicken wire. This in my opinion was added post war as the appearance of the condition of the wire does not match the aging of the helmet. Chicken wire will rust and age when exposed to the elements.

Otherwise it looks like a fairly decent helmet

Just my thoughts

Oh, my mistake, I thought it was posted here and another random member was using the pictures trying to pass it off as their own.  I thought it was posted here originally. Yes, you will definitely get some more attention here 😁
