Assistance In ID'ing French Medal Bag

Hi Folks:

Anyone recognize this military field bag which I recently purchased???

As you can see "vintage" hand painted French flag and Red cross on a military green bag with clip-hook strap.

It also has stenciling

Maybe French or American or ????  Any and all assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you for looking

Stenciling....I think

"L.X.X.V.I.I....60"

"....T...T.L.H.S..7"

I had to correct the picture of the stenciling since it was upside down

It is an American medical bag that was given to the French after WWII. Most of the US gear that was in France at the end of WWII was turned over to the French Army.

Thank you ged4…I thought so…..

As far as “given” …France told the US to leave in the 1960s, which we did except for the WW1 & WW2 Service Members resting in various cemeteries across France.  When the US closed various bases across France, they left behind a lot of material (gear & equipment).

I think it's the French-made version of that bag.

Could the bag be US and the strap be French?
