September 7, 2025Sep 7 #1 Attached is a British MKII helmet made by/stamped “JSS 1941”, painted a slight bluish gray inside and out with three holes in the side of the brim indicating it is not suitable for combat, whether it be due to quality control or the steel grade used. I have read in other forums that there are 1,2,3,&4 stamp hole “variants”, and they would be used for non-combat roles(ie: Homefront roles, etc).
