Thirty years ago in the early years of the internet, I met a man in Norway that wanted US insignia.  He was in the guard and going to college.  We couldn't send pictures so had to do it by snail mail.  These patches and insignia set in my collection still in the package they were mailed in.  Recently I found more of the obsolete ones on an auction.  So decided to get them out and show them off here. Included are some of the correspondence from Mr Lund in Norway. 

Simply stunning! I was always fascinated by the Scandinavian Armed Forces insignia´s style. Thanks for sharing.

That’s a great collection. Norwegian militaria is something I know nothing about but I love to learn about new things. 
I also love the picture of your dog wearing that hat.
