December 27, 2025Dec 27 #1 This British Army short sleeve shirt is currently up for bid on eBay for $249.00 (see link below). It is described as a Korean War British airborne combat shirt but does not mention the SAS possibly hoping that a prospective buyer might believe that the seller is not aware of the difference and has found a hidden treasure to entice an ignorant buyer into bidding. Right off the lettering on the inside label is fade by either the sun or repeated launderings. So you would expect any sewn insignia on this shirt to be in the same faded condition yet they are mint in vibrant colors. The British did not wear cloth subdued name tapes to my knowledge during the 1950s and this looks like it was sewn on yesterday. The SAS parachute wing itself is not from the 1950s but more 1980s and afterwards. https://www.ebay.com/itm/116710300472?itmmeta=01KDGY5JS8K9FCESVW68Y142P3&hash=item1b2c79db38
