RCAF Issued Waltham

These used to be easier to find. Just bought this should get it this week. They were first issued in 1942 to the RCAF and had a very long career in the RCAF into the 1960's durring the 1960's the dials were changed to the white dials with RCAF on the dial this might have the wrong crown due to the crown the same one on USAF Waltham A-17 issued watches but seen them on three others on the net so the RCAF might of used them as replacement crowns. Do have the correct Waltham crown on order. Was not cheap due to their rarity now. Has correct Waltham movement checked the serial numbers so made in 1942.

Well, got it today. Was missing the dust cover I had some spares and one fit. The crown I had on order also came today they sent the wrong one hoping they sent the wrong one or I want my money back on their 40-buck crown. I collect wings and like to have pilot watches to go along with them main reason I picked up this watch. The crown looked like the one on a USAF Waltham A-11 I have their distinctive same as the one in the seller's ad but not the one they sent me was smaller to.
