March 4Mar 4 #1 I got this under the impression that it was an old restoration piece. None of the paint is original, but the shell seemed fine (shape, material, weight, vents). Only problem is that there is no visible maker marks or lot numbers. The shell appears to have been sandblasted before being painted. Does it look like an original shell that was restored, or is it an older fake? Thanks in advance.
March 10Mar 10 #2 I asked a similar question on another forum regarding helmets with no marks and was informed that helmets made and used postwar by Norway look the same as M40 german helmets but have no markings. Perhaps this is what you have here. Lance

March 14Mar 14 #4 Sorry I misspoke. One of the opinions of the helmet I posted was that it may be a Finnish post war helmet, not Norwegian. Attached is the post for your review, possibly unrelated to yours but the lack of marks reminded me of it. https://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/forum/wehrmacht-uniforms-and-equipment/john-burnett-helmet-forum/15607078-unmarked Lance
