WWII Kriegsmarine "U-Boat" binoculars, 7x50, 1/2nd pattern, Zeiss?

I acquired these binoculars in a antique shop several years ago. From my research, I understand these to be WWII era, Kriegsmarine "u-boat" binoculars. they are marked "BLC"  Made by the Carl Zeiss Co. of Jena. They are 7x50. They have screw on, flip-up plastic/Bakelite eyecups. The body has a black finish or coating. Most if it is missing, suggesting heavy use. From what I've read online I believe these to be an early patten of the binoculars. A 1st or 2nd pattern? It also has what seems to be it's original neck carry strap.
