May 1May 1 #4 Great find. You might try to find out how it came into the store. I knew one American IDF Volunteer from the 7 Days War and he was from Texas. Alot of these vets have passed on and their story us slowly being lost to time. Most of them are pretty humble and keep it under their hat so to speak.
May 1May 1 Author #5 Good idea. I will have to give them a call. It's 2+ hours away. I do know an IDF veteran who served for about 30 years. He also doesn't talk about it much but when he does he has some funny stories. Like the time he had to clear Yasser Arafat's brother at a check point. Imagine trying to enter Israel with that name?

He has no information as to the history and/or original owner of it. Too bad but I'm still thrilled to have acquired it.
July 9Jul 9 #9 Yom Kippur War was actually 1973, but either way, cool uniform ensemble. I can't imagine wearing anything wool in the Israeli summer or even springtime, especially on the Mediterranean coast where it's always muggy.
