May 3May 3 #1 So there are many different weaves, or looms that were used at various times during the war. There was the Bevo type ‘filled in’ loom weave (which I think was mid high quality wartime) and there was the late war Bevo type loom weave that had the ‘negative reverse’ threads and was called a ‘floating weave’ I think🧐 which resulted in the blocky kind of backing like the one I am posting. Some say this type is considered a ‘Dachau’ type machine woven eagle but then I have seen the embroided thicker type that is considered a ‘Dachau’ eagle too🤷♂️ so with the many different types I’m just wondering is what we’ve got here, a late war manufacturing style, dachau style or a repo piece. Would love to know from more educated people on this topic.
