These are a recent acquisition, I've seen tags on other Japanese equipment similar to this. Would someone be able to decipher the tag on the bino strap?

The one on the case is completely washed out.

To me, the text in the photo reads "No.686 lance corporal Morimoto【六八六 森本 兵長】".
