On a recent trip to the Uk to see family, my uncle gifted me his dads items from his ww2 service. 
pins, medals and a vehicle pendent from the 1934 Nuremberg rally, which was very interesting. 
he enlisted in sept ‘44 and ended up in north west Europe in early 1945. We think mainly on occupation duties as we haven’t delved into proper records, just piecing together what he had in all the paperwork. Either way, very happy and humbled to have these items and will display them nicely in the future. 😁👍🏻
