Proud Kraut Posted October 19, 2018 #1 Posted October 19, 2018 Post your different pocket hangers here. I'll start with some variations of (obsolete) Artillerielehrregiment 5
riflegreen297 Posted October 28, 2018 #2 Posted October 28, 2018 Here are the only three that I have. They came with a riker full of German parachute badges and patches.
Proud Kraut Posted October 29, 2018 Author #3 Posted October 29, 2018 Very nice Fernspäh (LRRP) unit insignia! Could you please post the riker with the cloth insignia, maybe in a new topic?
NorBn Posted November 10, 2018 #4 Posted November 10, 2018 The 3 I have in my "collection". Hanging on the wall in my man cave in the basement (yes, it's named The Swamp):
Proud Kraut Posted January 27, 2019 Author #5 Posted January 27, 2019 Different variations of the German Artillery School insignia:
Proud Kraut Posted April 1, 2023 Author #6 Posted April 1, 2023 Insigina of two Headquarters, both garrisoned in Schleswig-Holstein the most northern German state. The commands were disbanded in the mid 1990´s: l: Territorialkommando SH r: 6. Panzergrenadierdivision
Proud Kraut Posted March 2, 2024 Author #7 Posted March 2, 2024 Two obsolete cold war pocket hangers of former Bundeswehr Wartime Host Nation Support transportation units. The black stars are representing the U.S. forces which where supported by these Battalions.
Proud Kraut Posted March 3, 2024 Author #9 Posted March 3, 2024 Insignia of two more former WHNS logistical units. These include a white/silver star representig the U.S. forces.
Proud Kraut Posted March 4, 2024 Author #10 Posted March 4, 2024 One of the harder to find pocket hangers. A variant of the German Army K9 School insignia. It was made before 2005, the year the school left it´s former garrison in Koblenz. Brown leather hangers are less frequently used than the black ones.
Proud Kraut Posted March 5, 2024 Author #11 Posted March 5, 2024 Pocket hanger insignia of an active unit: 260th Airborne Engineer Co., located in Saarland southwest Germany.
Proud Kraut Posted March 7, 2024 Author #12 Posted March 7, 2024 Insignia of the former 14th Armored Brigade showing the Hessian lion in the center.
Proud Kraut Posted March 18, 2024 Author #13 Posted March 18, 2024 Another pocket hanger which becomes more difficult to find: 11th Armored Infantry Division HQ and divisional units. It shows the design of the 11th Div SSI plus a red cross from the Oldenburg colors and a silver sword. The Division was disbanded 30 years ago in 1994.
