triplecanopy Posted November 1, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 1, 2018 These are examples of Parachute Badges from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea DPRK (North Korea). There is not a lot of information known about these badges except that this is one style that is used with minor variations in color. It is not known if the differences have meaning (proficiency levels- Officer/enlisted?) or just a manufacturing difference. The reverse side is shown below. triplecanopy Posted November 1, 2018 Author Share #2 Posted November 1, 2018 Here are the back side of the above DPRK Parachute Badges. The writing translates to something like "Special Force 1 of 100".
triplecanopy Posted November 1, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted November 1, 2018 This is another unconfirmed example of perhaps an earlier DPRK Parachute Badge, This one is illustrated in the 1985 Bragg and Turner Book "PARACHUTE WINGS" as B&T 2214. This example seems a bit harder to come by and may actually be a sport parachutist badge. If you have any updated information about it, please share it with us.
