MECHINF-A15 Posted December 21, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 21, 2018 Shown here are Russian Press release photographs I acquired after "the wall came down." Each photo has a hand written caption on the back. Unfortunately, I can't read a word of it. I would be happy to post the back for those who can just let me know. Frist up, Soviet machine gun crew man a Maxim M1910/34.

MECHINF-A15 Posted December 21, 2018 Author Share #7 Posted December 21, 2018 Nice shot of the Russian 152 mm Model 1910/34 field gun. A number of these weapons were captured and introduced into German service. The German designation was 15,2 cm K.433/1®. For an example the III./Panzerartillerie-Lehr-Rgt. 130, Panzer-Lehr-Division was armed with 12 of these guns in Normandy, 1944.

S.ChrisKelly Posted May 15, 2023 Share #11 Posted May 15, 2023 Photographs from Budapest, Hungary 1945. Imagine seeing this Red Army officer on the street, looking in your direction. He doesn't need a weapon! (Quote Paddington Bear... "It's called a hard stare.")
