the 1st model has 1914-1916 as mentioned dates

It was awarded in silver to the Belgian military and in bronze to the native personnel who participated in the military campaigns in Cameroon, Rhodesia, German East Africa and on the eastern borders of the Belgian Congo between 1914 and 1918. In 1931, the staple "Mahenge" was created and awarded to participants of the 1917 campaign that began in Tanganyika in East German Africa culminating with the taking of the city of Mahenge.
