SARGE Posted April 27, 2019 Share #1 Posted April 27, 2019 Gents, This is an example of the East German two-way radios known in the West as a "Walkie-Talkie". These radios are quite hard to find these days. Used extensively by DDR Police forces, they can be seen in photographs of VP, Grenzers, etc. This example is complete and fully functional with the original (discharged) East German battery. It also retains its leather case and shoulder strap along with the auxiliary microphone.

SARGE Posted Monday at 02:14 PM Author Share #4 Posted Monday at 02:14 PM Yes, these radios are multi-functional. They can tap out Morris code, have multiple channels, and can transmit voice in code. Notice the antenna runs along side the leather shoulder strap. My excellent German picker obtained this one for me.
