Here's something I'd been chasing for a year and a half and finally got a good friend of mine to let it go.

The jacket, pants, and boots are all Chinese manufactured and supplied to the North during the war. Chinese-made KPA gear was sage green, as opposed to the standard olive, brown, or khaki North Korean-made gear. The hat and mittens are both North Korean hamlet/sweatshop made.

This model of uniform is actually the very model that caused so much confusion between North and South soldiers early on. It is almost an identical copy of the South Korean winter uniform.

Everything is pre-1953.

Enjoy!

Jack

Nice uniform and hard to find.  My father told stories of making North Korean prisoners throw their quilted uniforms in a pile and the GI's burned them.  He said they all had lice.
