thorin6 Posted June 30, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 30, 2019 This is my one and only Adrian helmet. I purchased a small collection of helmets from the estate of a friend's father, four WW1 and one WW2. I believe this is a WW1 Adrian, but not sure on the nomenclature. It has some dents (battle damage?) and is missing the badge (are they hard to find?). At this point I'm not sure what I will do with the helmet, as my collecting interest rely mostly on US items, but it is an interesting piece. Comments are welcome. thorin6 Posted June 30, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted June 30, 2019 Full liner and complete chin strap. The liner seems loose; I'm not sure how it attaches to the inside of the helmet.

Bugme Posted July 2, 2019 Share #6 Posted July 2, 2019 Bob is correct, Americans from American Field Service, Red Cross and Norton-Harjes volunteer ambulance drivers wore the Adrian. Below is one of the insignia used by these guys on their helmets. Also, the all black 92nd Division used these.
