javorca Posted August 9, 2019 #1 Posted August 9, 2019 here is my prussian M. 1860 Mannschaft Pickelhaube. It was used in austro-prussian war of 1866 and prussian campaign against France in 1870
javorca Posted August 9, 2019 Author #6 Posted August 9, 2019 the only mark present: JAGER I have seen it on other M. 1860 pickelhauben
SARGE Posted August 9, 2019 #8 Posted August 9, 2019 Very nice! These helmets are generally in very poor condition and missing bits and pieces, like the early Prussian cockade. Thanks for showing it.
Kanemono Posted August 9, 2019 #9 Posted August 9, 2019 Beautiful helmet!!! Thank you for sharing it with us. Dick
javorca Posted August 10, 2019 Author #11 Posted August 10, 2019 Beautiful! JAGER, no Umlaut? without umlaut, for what I see I paid it an high price, maybe too much, but it is really genuine and in very good conditions. In all collections, very high level pieces have high price. It is normal: poor or medium conditions are 90% of pieces on market, but super or mint conditions not so. I prefer to wait, spend a little more than normal but buy very nice pieces. Thanks to all for your compliments, but I hope to see some other pieces in this post
