SARGE Posted September 26, 2019 #1 Posted September 26, 2019 Gents, This is a circa 1952 Nagant Model 1895 7,62mm East German revolver. This Soviet model revolver was made by Tula in 1928 and was re-issued to the East German Police under Russian occupation in the 1950s. The small hammer marking on the revolver indicates it was manufactured by Tula Arsenal. It is East German marked with a "1" inside a triangle on the right frame and the holster was manufactured in the DDR. Notice the holster is also maker marked to a Dresden leather works.
SARGE Posted September 26, 2019 Author #2 Posted September 26, 2019 Some close up pictures of the revolver.

MattS Posted May 12, 2020 #6 Posted May 12, 2020 You know the Germans had to be severely disappointed under Soviet control when their Lugers, PPKs, and P38s were taken away and they were given antique revolvers made in 1928 from an 1895 design!
