SARGE Posted September 30, 2019 #1 Posted September 30, 2019 Each year, for the past 25 years, the Mid-Continent Library Genealogy Center has put on a program called the Kansas City Veterans Salute. This "thank you for your service" homage to area military veterans includes various organizations such as: VFW, Marine Corps League, various reenact-or groups, etc. The VFW provides a military band, Hy-Vee catering provides a free lunch, and our group, KCMCC, provides collector displays. The Kansas City Military Collector Club (KCMCC) has participated in this excellent program for years and is proud to help support the Veterans Salute. Below are some of the displays that we put on this weekend. http://www.kcmcc.org/
SARGE Posted September 30, 2019 Author #2 Posted September 30, 2019 More club displays. Each club member designs and sets up their own display. Some dress in the mode of a reenactor and some just wear our club vest.
SARGE Posted September 30, 2019 Author #3 Posted September 30, 2019 This was my display of uniforms and swords from various US Military Veterans Organizations such as: GAR, SUV, USWV, & VFW.
aznation Posted October 1, 2019 #4 Posted October 1, 2019 Really, really, really nice displays! I don't think it could get any better. If I was around the area I certainly would've loved seeing all of it. GREAT JOB!
