WW2 German Police Buckle Mistake GOTT MIT UNS Upside Down?

i picked up this police buckle last week. I had to look at it a few times but it appears it is a manufacture mistake? When you wear the buckle the GOTT MIT UNS is upside down. Or so it appears to me. The buckle is a two piece buckle so I can see how this can happen. The tabs on the rear do not appear to have been moved. When you are looking at the front and the GOT MIT UNS is right side up the pins for the belt attachment are on the left side not the right side.

Must have been made late on a Friday. I would be tempted to leave it as is for a variation. A much less common buckle with a factory mistake.
