Bob Hudson Posted April 8, 2020 #1 Posted April 8, 2020 This letter is from a Japanese girl to her Marine boyfried who is heading back home, without her. It is a sad letter: the last line being "I am very lonely"

Jack the Collector Posted April 17, 2020 #4 Posted April 17, 2020 Bob, I was honestly gobsmacked when I first read this post. All I could type was what you saw.To some....maybe the majority of collectors, these items are merely cool stuff(am I being cynical?).These items of yours spoke volumes to me,become human not merely objects.
bryang Posted May 5, 2020 #5 Posted May 5, 2020 An (unfortunate) after effect of military personnel in other lands.
MattS Posted May 7, 2020 #6 Posted May 7, 2020 I'm sure this happened quite a lot. A US Marine being involved with a girl whose last name is Tojo must not have been very acceptable at the time.
