Old Marine Posted August 11, 2020 #1 Posted August 11, 2020 Can any of you Gents tell me the meaning of these badges. The silver 1940 pin has to do with "Soldier's Christmas" and the Gold 1918 badge is for the Soldiers and their families. Were these pins issued by the Swiss Government as a commemoration of service, or are they like German tinnies, given out for donating money to aid Soldiers? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks Dennis
Proud Kraut Posted August 19, 2020 #2 Posted August 19, 2020 The right one is for a Swiss national donating programm for the soldiers and their families.
Fred Borgmann Posted November 19, 2020 #3 Posted November 19, 2020 The one on the left is titled Soldiers Christmas 1940 and was probably part of a fund raising scheme.
Old Marine Posted November 25, 2020 Author #4 Posted November 25, 2020 Thank you for the confirmations.
