Proud Kraut Posted January 6 Share #2 Posted January 6 Very cool. Of course the breech block is still intact... German WW I guns seem to be scattered all over the planet. I recently received a request from Australia concerning a German howitzer. I learned that dozens of German guns are on display over there. There´s a website listing the locations of all captured guns I´ll see if I can find it again.
gwb123 Posted January 9 Author Share #3 Posted January 9 I think you are correct. I think you will like this. In the US we have a TV show called Expedition Unknown. In this episode the host "discovers" to German howitzers at the bottom of a lake in Namibia. Of course, I think his local guides knew they were there all the time. https://expeditionunknown.fandom.com/wiki/Africa's_Cursed_Lake_of_Gold Presumably they were looking for a cache of gold hidden by German forces, but I thought this was just a cool. Proud Kraut Posted January 11 Share #4 Posted January 11 That´s indeed cool! Here´s the website I mentioned. It lists more than 600 German WW I guns displayed all over the world. http://www.passioncompassion1418.com/Canons/English_CanonsIndex_NationPHP.php
