Kwc271 Posted March 25, 2021 Author #4 Posted March 25, 2021 The back says...” DESTAD MAESEYCK AAN HARE STRYDERS” 1914-1918 front has a Lion attacking an Eagle and says..”LEO AQUILAM VIGIT”
Proud Kraut Posted March 25, 2021 #5 Posted March 25, 2021 Could it be from the Netherlands? The city of Maeseyk for/to their fighters 1914 - 1918
Hermann Posted March 25, 2021 #6 Posted March 25, 2021 The reserve says: the city of Maaseik to their combattants 1914 - 1918. Maaseik is a small city in Belgium, close to the Dutch border. This medal was given by the city council to the inhabitants who fought in WW1 as a toké of appreciation. It is not an official Belgian award. Regards Herman
