A while back, a member asked if anyone had any belt buckles so I thought I would start a thread.  Enjoy and add your belts & buckles!

Outstanding collection, thank you very much for sharing it here! Could you please post a close-up of the belt with the buttons depicted on the last photograph.

Lars, I have two souvenir belts, one was never completely filled. I have always found these interesting.

These "hate" belts are interesting.  It is always neat to see what buttons and other odds and ends the soldier collected to put on these belts.

Jayhawkhenry, as you suggested I will add a belt to your excellent thread on Imperial belts and buckles.

I picked this white EM dress belt up this weekend at a local KCMCC show.  It is a private purchase whitened leather belt with the remains of a black felt backing for an enlisted box buckle such as those worn by mounted units.  I think it is interesting in that the brass catch is riveted to the belt rather than being sewn.  Also, notice the riveted catch is "DRGM" marked indicating a limited copyright/patent protection for this set-up.

Interesting belt. Probably worn with the  dunkelblau uniform pre war.  I did fine one photo of a doughboy wearing what appears to be a white or maybe buff souvenir belt.

Thank you for the look and the photo of the white hate belt in wear.

Another collector informed me that the DRGM number dates to 1897 so you are right about my belt being pre-war and most likely worn with the blue dress uniform.
