stratasfan Posted September 14, 2021 #1 Posted September 14, 2021 The Luxembourg War Cross was created by Grand Duchess Charlotte on 17 April 1945. It was awarded for distinguished acts of courage and bravery. It was awarded to citizens of Luxembourg and members of Allied Forces who display particular acts of bravery during the Liberation of Luxembourg. It is one of the rarest of the foreign decorations bestowed on Allied forces, as there were not many combat operations that took place in Luxembourg. The War Cross was also awarded to units.
